WHAT IS SHOOT CAMP?
Shoot Camp Boot Camp is a multimedia youth development program that aims to empower youth with multimedia skills for entrepreneurship, fostering self-confidence and purpose. Through hands-on learning, students gain expertise in photography, drones, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, health & wellbeing. With a robust portfolio and opportunities for paid internships, Shoot Camp equips students to embark on successful careers in the multimedia industry.
Purpose

Through guided mentorship and self-reflection activities, we help youth set personal goals and understand the impact they can have on their communities and the world.

Embracing the power of emerging technology, our program equips students with cutting-edge skills in photography, videography, drone technology, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. COURSE OVERVIEW
In-person instruction giving students hands-on learning opportunities. The curriculum focuses on imparting fundamental knowledge of emerging technologies, emphasizing entrepreneurial skills, the significance of purpose, health and wellbeing. Each session is facilitated by instructors who are experts in their respective fields. Students are provided with food, camp t-shirts, and workbooks. They are equipped with drones, vr goggles, laptops, and standard photography equipment including a camera, flash, lens, memory card, batteries, and flash drive.

Meet Our Founder
Mike Bruce, Executive Director
Growing up on the east side of Detroit, Mike developed a passion for electronics, gaming, and television. This early interest in technology and media became a driving force in his life.
After graduating from GVSU, Mike co-developed a 28-page youth development program, which marked the beginning of his journey into youth mentorship and development. He moved back to Detroit to focus on building this initiative and started a motivational speaking company to inspire and empower young people.
Mike’s career took off as he founded a multimedia company. Through these ventures, he had the privilege of working with some incredible entities, including Jordan Brand, The Wright Museum, and Focus: HOPE to name a few.
Mike believes that if you delight in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart. This belief drives his commitment to spiritual and professional growth, and his desire to give back to his community. Prayer and perseverance keep him motivated, and he sees failure as just another step towards success.
Through Shoot Camp Boot Camp, he aims to provide young people with the skills, opportunities, and support they need to thrive in the digital age. Mike’s goal is to inspire and empower the next generation, helping them to realize their potential and achieve their dreams.
